Dear Mama,

11May08

Today is mother’s day.  When I was a kid I hope you knew that I was saying “I love you” through the screams and scowls of adolescence.  Laughing over korean bbq and shopping at target and the grocery store are happy memories I cherish.  It’s hard to believe that we almost lost you 6 years ago.  So even though Pops may be grumpy when you eat that extra piece of bulgogi and lettuce, know that it’s because he does it because he knows we can’t risk losing you again.  Our hearts may have healed, but they haven’t forgotten the pain of those cold winter days.

Love,

L
